Facial Cosmetic Surgery for Men

Before and after photos of a young man with nose job plastic surIt’s well known that the largest percentage of clients for a Plastic Surgeon are women.  Women that take good care of themselves have a desire to look as good as they feel.  The same goes for men!  It’s much more mainstream for men to consider plastic surgery now, as men don’t want their spouse to look better than them. So, what procedures are men having done?

Rhinoplasty (Nose Surgery)

Proportion is everything. If you are unhappy with the shape of your nose such as; too big or too crooked or how it blends with the rest of your face, it’s time to consider Rhinoplasty.

Of all plastic surgery procedures, nose enhancement, or rhinoplasty, is among the most common. Nose enhancement can be performed on any part of the nose, to increase or reduce its size, to modify the size and shape of the nostrils, tip or bridge of the nose, or to alter the slope or angle of the nose. Rhinoplasty may also be performed to correct an injury or birth defect, or to improve breathing. Call to schedule a consultation with Dr. Magassy to discuss your options.

Chin Augmentation

As mentioned above, the facial sub-units should all be proportionate to each other. The chin is as important as the eyes and nose in overall facial aesthetics. In men, a strong chin is a very important contribution to the masculine look. A chin implant can create a more balanced profile by strengthening a weak, receding chin, reducing a deep fold under the lower lip, or widening a small chin. The bone of the chin can be moved forward or backward, made wider or narrower, shorter or longer, to provide unlimited options for refining the chin. A wide variety of implant shapes and materials are available to permit reshaping the chin to the optimal contours.

Blepharoplasty: Eyelid Rejuvenation

Are you ever asked, “Are you tired?  Are you getting enough sleep?”  If so, Blepharoplasty may be in your future.  Loose hanging furrowed skin, lateral brows that hang over the upper eyelids, and bulging fat pads below the eyelids with accentuated tear troughs put forth the image of fatigue and loss of vitality. Fortunately, surgery to restore the upper eyelids to a crisp appearance with correction of any eyelid droop can be a game changer. Eyelid lift (or blepharoplasty) is the preferred treatment for removing bags under the eyes or drooping eyelids, conditions that can add years to your appearance and even impair your vision.
